Welcome
Dear Colleagues,
The Portuguese Group for Immuno-Oncology (gpI-O) is pleased to invite you to participate in the “2nd Immuno-Oncology SPO/SPI School & Joint Meeting”, on the 18th – 19th of October 2024.
In this event, we intend to deepen the knowledge of the effects of immunotherapies on cancer patients through educational sessions and to foster continued collaboration between clinical oncologists and immunologists, building on the success of the inaugural event held in October 2023.
On the 18th of October, the program will feature a full day with the “1st Immuno-Oncology SPO/SPI School” which will be exclusively online.
We then look forward to welcoming you in Conímbriga on the second day, 19th of October for the “2nd Immuno-Oncology SPO/SPI Joint Meeting” to present state-of-the-art clinical and scientific discussions on current topics with presentations from distinguished speakers.
This event will bring together clinical experts, researchers, teachers, students, and the pharmaceutical industry for a productive and collaborative meeting between basic science and clinical practice.
We eagerly anticipate your participation and contributions!

The Conímbriga Hotel do Paço is a historical place full of charm, refinement and tranquillity.
This space was formerly the Almadas Palace. The roots of this palace date back to the 14th century.
The building, considered one of the most important of Condeixa, was restructured in XIX.
In 1993, it underwent deep work and was transformed into a Hotel. In 2019, it became the Conímbriga Hotel do Paço.
Here, there were lodged individualities of the most distinguished nobility and European royalty. Some of the special guests of the former palace were King D. Manuel in1500, D. Catarina, on her return to the Kingdom after the death of her husband Charles II of England in 1704, D. Pedro II, Charles of Austria and, finally, the infant of Spain D. Carlos, brother of King Fernando VII.
This hotel is owned by the ADFP Foundation, a non-profit institution that represents an offer of tourism with a purpose. The profits generated here will be used in social projects supporting people with social needs and victims of work exclusion.
